The local southwest soccer bodies are self autonomous although, they choose to be affiliated to Football West.
Should these bodies discontinue there affiliation with the State body F/W there would be certain ramifications, listed below some of these drawbacks.
It can also affect WA State & Federal Grants if not affiliated with the State body.
The main individual group of juniors in the SW are the CCJSA and they would be the potential candidates to make such a move.
Whether they make such a decision cannot be determined at this stage but there has been rumblings, particularly when they as a group are anti some of FW rulings.
This being brought about by not allowing SW Phoenix to enter 9 to 11yr old teams in the CCJSA junior leagues.
The FFSW appear to be making autocratic decisions without full consultation of it's Board members, should that be the case then they should be taken to task to ensure it doesn't occur again.
If that group are operating in a manner that is against it's constitution then funding from other associated bodies could be in jeopardy.
Minutes of their meetings should be distributed to any interested parties within the local soccer fraternity on request for the same.
