Heard talk that the Phoenix player Nicola Cazzola may not be coming back from Italy, if not maybe it's time to promote Corey Barclay to the striker role.

Canning City won for the first time this season after a 2-1 win against South West Phoenix at Burrendah Reserve. The home side were ahead on 15 minutes, Laurence Cheyne wiped in a low cross for Callum Roberts to tap home. The Phoenix levelled before the break through James McCleary, but the home side won it on 72 minutes. Skipper Roberts, raced past two defenders and put it on a plate for Nathan Hubbard who finished clinically.
It was nowhere near our best performance of the season, however we are relieved for the 3 points,” Canning Coach Pete Lord said. “The Phoenix are a good side and their attackers are extremely dangerous. In the first half we were at 6’s and 7’s defensively, and it showed in the goal we conceded. The second half we got a couple of injuries that dictated our substitutions early and we were forced to adjust quickly. We took the lead and hung on with our hard work fitness and discipline. The lads deserve the win and hopefully it's the start of some good momentum and create confidence in our young squad to know that they can grind out a result if necessary.”
Busselton v Dynamos
Although it is top plays bottom it will be a closer game than that suggests but the Moes have been steadily improving on their game and have now taken top spot on the table. City have been inconsistent some games playing well but then not be able to back that up the following week, although Bunbury United only beat them 1-0 last time out.
Dynamos to win.
Dalyellup v Dunsborough
The Dally's lost to Australind last week and will be out to stop their slip down the ladder tumbling from top position to 4th in a few weeks, I think most teams have improved as the season has gone on but Dalyellup are going the other way. Dunsborough on the other hand are not good travellers but are unpredictable and you can't say how they are going to go week in week out.
Dalyellup to win.
Bunbury Utd v Hay Park
This to me would be the match of the day United have got better over the last couple of games and apart from Dynamos have lost the least number of games at two. I would expect a hard game as there is no love lost between the two and think the Parkers will come out on top.
I have had to revert to my website because of problems with facebook, next month I might open another facebook page once the current lot have been deleted. Have now reopened the Whinger.
